This youngest boy crossed the Bengali Channel in the deep Bay of Bengal in St. Martin's. In a brief timeframe, 43 swimmers crossed the Bengali Channel together.

It took him 3 hours and 21 minutes to arrive at the island. Sajo Mollah became the third Bengali in the shortest time out of 43 people. Besides, Maunata Afrin and Soma Roy have successfully crossed the Bengali channel.

After that, another Rabbi Rahman reached the island after crossing the Bangla Channel at 5 o'clock after 13 years. 16 swimmers swam in 3 hours and 15 minutes.

The last to reach the island was 68-year-old Kshitindra Chandra Vaishya, a swimmer in St. Martin's, crossing the 16.1-kilometer sea route. At this time, the residents of the island greeted the first youngest swimmer Rabbi with flowers.

Shahpari of Teknaf was the target around 9:30 am on Monday, We will cross the Bengali Channel at any cost and taste the victory from the island jetty to the atoll St. Martin.

What is Bangla Channel: The name of this stream in the Bay of Bengal, which is 16.1 km from Shahparirdwip of Teknaf in Cox's Bazar to St. Martin's Coral Island, is 'Bangla Channel'.

The late Kazi Hamidul Haque, famous for his adventures, discovered this Bengali channel in the Bay of Bengal suitable for sea swimming.

Lipton Sarkar, Fazlul Kabir, and Salman Saeed crossed the Bengali channel for the first time in 2006.

According to the organizers, the event was scheduled to take place in March, but it was not possible due to Corona. This time the channel is being organized in accordance with the international rules of swimming.

Swimmers do freehand swimming. In addition to one rescue boat with each swimmer for safety, 

Bangladesh Coast Guard service boats and divers were ready.

Soma Roy, a female member of the competition and 

a BUET student told, "I have succeeded in crossing the Bangla Channel for the first time. Now we have to chase after bigger success.'

Saiful Islam the Dhaka University student of the Department of Soil, Water and Environment won second place with a time of 3 hours and 31 minutes. He crossed the Bengali channel three times with this.

Madaripur locale swimmer Shuja Mollah is in the third spot with a period of 3 hours and 35 minutes. French swimmer Siegfried Ray completed the swim in 3 hours and 55 minutes. 

Maunata Afrin of Alamgir Swimming Club in Rajshahi and Soma Roy, a student of 

Mechanical Engineering Department of the Bangladesh University of Engineering, have finished swimming.

Incidentally, this swimming competition has been organized for 14 years to save people from drowning and to create awareness among the people.
