Wild fountain "Khayachara" in Green Mountain.

Like a waterfall, a stream of clear water is flowing, rock after rock. After traversing about eight steps of a lonely-quiet mountain, many more waterfalls have been created, and the rushing currents have come down to the plains at the sound of call taps. Unnamed herbs, shrubs, bamboo forests, wildflowers, and fruit trees enclose this waterfall with the wonder of creation in absolute compassion.

It is not easy to take your eyes off the amazing beauty of that wild fountain. One of the wonderful creations of nature is the wild waterfall of Khayachara in Mirsarai, Chittagong. Already, many domestic and foreign tourists have been fascinated by the fact that it is the largest fountain in the country in terms of length, width, and natural diversity beyond Madhabkund.

The fountain is not famous for being in the depths of inaccessible mountains.

The innumerable hills and mountains and the green hills of various unnamed trees on the hills feel like a green sanctuary. And the wild spring Khayachara is coming down to the sound of the call of this green mountain. On the east side of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Mirsarai, on the opposite side of Khayachara High School in Baratakia area, the back road has gone to the railway line. From there the methopath and the isle of the field begin. Then, as you walk, all of a sudden, as if the soil has moved away, a gorge will emerge. The way the calm water flows quietly will tell you that its source is from something huge.

Khayacharajharna is a waterfall:

Khayacharajharna is a waterfall located in the hills of Mirsarai in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Khayachara Jharna and its Jhiripath are one of the largest in Mirsarai Upazila as compared to other waterfalls like Kamaldaha Jharna, Napittachara Jharna, Sahasradhara Jharna, Jharjhari Jharna, etc. The Khayachara waterfall has a total of 9 large waterfall steps (i.e. cascades) and many isolated steps. The spring has been named "Khayachara Jharna" due to its location in the Khayachara Union of Mirsarai Upazila.

Location:

The spring is located 4.2 km east of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway on the north side of Baratakia Bazar in the Khayachara union of Mirsarai Upazila in Chittagong. As the waterfall is located on the inside of the hill, it is not possible to reach the foot of the waterfall directly by any vehicle. It is possible to reach the village near the waterfall by walking from the side of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway or by using local vehicles (such as CNG). But there is no means of transportation for the rest of the way to reach the mainstream of the waterfall through the village at the foot of the hill, it is possible to reach only on foot.

History:

It is believed that the Khayachara spring has been flowing for about 50 years. It took time to discover its location due to the uninhabited hilly area and the abundance of shrubs. Again, many people think that this waterfall was created as a result of a hill slope about 50 years ago before the waterfall was not here.

In 2010, the government declared 2933.61 hectares of the hill in the Kunder Hat (Baratakia) block from Bariadhala block as a national park and Khayachara Jharna became a national park. In 2017, the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh undertook an eco-tourism development project centered on the Khayachara spring in the "Ramgarh-Sitakunda-Reserve Forest" of the Chittagong North Forest Department, one of the main objectives of which is the conservation of the Khayachara spring.

Khayachara Jharna is undoubtedly the largest in the country of Bangladesh in terms of size, shape, and structure. There are 9 main steps and many isolated steps in the Khayachara waterfall. According to the tourists, no other such spring has been seen in Bangladesh.

Let's not know how to go to this beautiful fountain?

If you want to come from Dhaka to Chittagong, you have to cross Mirsarai, the transit point of Chittagong, and stop at Dhaka Chittagong Road in front of Khayachara Ideal School before Bartakia Bazar.

Arriving here, about thirty yards before Khayachara Ideal School, a road enters on the right from Dhaka-Chittagong Road. Going from there, you can see a railway line on the way if you walk for ten minutes along the village road on the left-hand side. If you cross the railway line and walk for ten minutes, you will find Jhiri.

It will take you about two hours from Jhiri to the last step. However, keep in mind that in the rainy season, rain or mountain slopes or slippery buns can cause you to float, so keep a rope with you and be careful at all times. If you don't know how to swim, you must take a life jacket with you.

Remember that trekking Khayachara waterfall is a little different from other waterfalls in Bangladesh. Because this spring is flowing in several stages which is similar to any other spring in Bangladesh.

If you take it lightly, it is likely to be in danger. As a result, you must always step carefully. Be sure to go salty with it, because there are lots of jokes. For your convenience, there is a guide's house named Nazim Uddin in Bartakia. If you want, you can take this guide with you. Whose mobile number is - 01716259913

I have already said that if there is a rope or rope, you will get the benefit of getting up and down. Whatever you take with you, it would be great if you could buy some dry food with you from your own shop or from Bartakia Bazaar and come to the fountain, or if you are good at cooking yourself, you can cook and eat it on the sixth stove.
